Welcome to Hilton Beach!
A culturally vibrant village on the Northeast shore of St. Joseph Island, Hilton Beach has been a popular tourist destination for over a century.
The Hilton Beach Marina is known as one of the largest in the North Channel and one of the most scenic on the Great Lakes, and welcomes hundreds if not thousands of visiting boaters every summer.
Hilton Beach is also famed for its array of cultural events throughout the year. Arts at the Dock features work from the district's best artists. Summer Festival is fun for the whole family with a waterfront classic car show, childrens' entertainers and the Coureurs de Bois voyageurs encampment. The Old Town Hall Concert Series has attracted the biggest names in Canadian music, including, most recently, The Gryphon Trio, Lunch at Allen's and Jeff Healey's Jazz Wizards. The Hilton Beach Community Night rounds out the summer with food, games and a parade through the Village.
Hilton Beach is a very progressive and modern community. This community of 200 permanent residents has millions of dollars worth of improvement projects to its credit. In the past 15 years, the marina has gone through two major renovations, the Hilton Community Hall was restored and expanded, the Waterfront Centre office building was built, a municipal sewage and water treatment and distribution system was installed, a multi-sport recreation surface was completed, and a community workshop garage was built, among other projects.
We focus on our youth by employing several young people in summer placements throughout the Village, by providing skateboarding, basketball and other equipment at the recreation surface and by operating a year-round recreation program for young people of all ages.
Hilton Beach caters to tourists with a general store, an LCBO outlet, two restaurants, accommodations and various gift shops and other services. Our full-service marina provides free wifi Internet access to all boaters, which is also available by subscription to non-boaters.
We invite you to browse our web site to learn more about our community and to start planning your visit today!
