Arts & Entertainment Guide

Hilton Beach and St. Joseph Island are proud to be the inspiration to many artists, writers and musicians who reside in the area.

With the natural beauty of the Island, its vibrant sunsets, serene forests, scenic vistas and many cultural activities, it's not hard to see why it's a major cultural centre in the Algoma District.

A number of art shows, concerts and other cultural events are held every year in Hilton Beach and St. Joseph Island.

Arts at the Dock
Featuring over forty artists who work with everything from pottery to gourds to a paintbrush, Arts at the Dock celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2011. It is the Algoma District's premiere art show, held annually on the third Sunday of July. [more info]

Old Town Hall Concert Series
This annual three-concert summer series has brought musicians like Jeff Healey's Jazz Wizards, Lunch at Allen's, Jackie Washington, Peter Appleyard, Johannes Linstead, Michael Kaeshammer and many classical groups to Hilton Beach over the past ten years. [more info]
